Today was a FIRST!
I visited The Wilderness Lodge with my son, Joe, and his girlfriend, Katrina! We set out from Beaver Springs about 2:30 p.m., and headed to ‘parts unknown’ (to me) for a late lunch. After winding through the back roads of western Snyder County, then in to Mifflin County, we arrived at The Wilderness Lodge, a place that I had only heard about until today! I must say, after driving up a pine tree lined, dirt road, I was pleasantly surprised! I was greeted by a large Black Bear, standing about 8-10 feet high!
Sitting at the bar, I ordered a “Black and Blue Burger” and Fresh Cut Fries for lunch and both were excellent! The beer was cold and the company was great! THANK YOU, Joe Devine, for a first time experience! Let’s do it again sometime!
